Picaroons Bed and Breakfast is an impressive house built in classic 1930’s style and situated within lovely grounds. We have plenty of off-street parking and we’re only a 10 minute walk into the town of Sheringham with its great shops, restaurants and pubs which means you can experience everything Sheringham has to offer and still enjoy a peaceful, relaxing stay.
It is only a 15 minute stroll to the sea and a Blue Flag beach.
Since moving-in in December 2015 the B&B has undergone considerable refurbishment and we are especially proud of our three re-vamped Kingsize en-suite guest bedrooms, Lobster, Crab and Scallop.

We didn’t have much of a plan when we moved to North Norfolk but we knew we wanted a change. We needed new challenges; a fresh start. Our adventure began in January 2015. We relocated to a rented property in North Norfolk so we could be ready to grasp an opportunity when it did present itself.
It didn’t take long for us not only to appreciate what a great town Sheringham is but also that it is crying-out for guest accommodation for its growing visitor numbers. Our opportunity had presented itself; at last we could work together by running a B&B. We were lucky enough to move into Picaroons in December 2015. It took just over a year to complete the renovations and now we are really confident about the B&B experience we have to offer.
We have known each other a very long time (since year one of secondary school) and we have been a couple since 1994 – we finally tied the knot on 3rd December 2016 in Norwich Castle. We really enjoy each other’s company and have a shared appreciation of art and comedy. We seek out the original and the creative; generally the quirkier the better. We like anything that makes us smile. We love being out and about meeting friends and enjoying our varied surroundings but we are just as content in the garden or the kitchen growing veg’ or making jam – or just chilling out with a G&T watching the sunset.
We are really enjoying our life at Picaroons B&B.
In February 2018 we were thrilled to win Visit Norwich’s Valentine competition. we had our message projected onto Norwich Castle. We made the front page of the local press and we were a news item on several TV channels and Radio Norfolk. It was great fun.
In 2019 we successfully competed in the Channel 4 television series Four in a bed. We have many stories to tell of an eventful but enjoyable experience.
